Thailand Sailing Holidays

We invite you to have the holiday of a lifetime whilst cruising around Koh Samui, Ang Thong National Marine Park, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and The Gulf of Thailand onboard The Siam Junk boat.

This stunning Siamese style junk was built in Thailand in 2007 to an extremely high western standard, mostly from teak and ironwood – much of it salvaged from a defunct cargo vessel.  By combining many traditional features with gorgeous oriental looks, The Siam Junk Boat represents a unique luxury motor sailing & cruise vessel, ideal for exploring the waters around Thailand.

Location:
Imagine cruising in the Gulf of Thailand, the Andaman Sea or the Indian Ocean, following your own itinerary, chasing glorious tropical sunsets, mooring off pristine white beaches, swimming beneath an azure sky.  Book your holiday for a few days or weeks… it is up to you!

If you want to experience the majesty and beauty of this amazing vessel, but have less time to indulge yourself, join The Siam Junk on a day trip to nearby paradise islands, or take an unforgettable sunset cruise.

Fine Dining:
Our restaurant / galley can cater buffet style for almost any number, with seated dining for more formal occasions for around 56 people.  Head Chef, Rupert Single, has worked with some of the most respected European chefs through his many years in the catering business. He looks forward to meeting your culinary requirements, and personally guarantees the experience will be thoroughly enjoyable.

Charter:
Want an amazing wedding & honeymoon – combining a beach ceremony with a shipboard party & honeymoon cruise?

Or looking for a corporate event location, or a photo shoot site that is truly unique?

How about a live aboard fishing or diving holiday?  Or perhaps a well-earned relaxing vacation with friends or family?

With 6 luxurious, spacious cabins The Siam Junk can accommodate twelve to twenty-four overnight guests, and up to sixty revellers for day trips.

Please contact us with your requirements.

Specifications:
The Siam Junk is made from the finest Burmese teak and ironwood, and furnished with beautiful hand crafted decorations and ornaments.  She is some 34 metres long and 7 metres wide, ensuring ample space for all our guests.

The twin masts are junk rigged with traditional style sails that are both beautiful and functional: when the weather is suitable she is powered by the wind.  At other times the 450bhp diesel engine ensures she makes her destination.

The vessel is fully insured for up to 60 passengers and meets International Marine Organization safety standards.  The crew is fully qualified, there are first aid facilities available at all times, along with lifejackets, a life raft and numerous other safety features which exceed local requirements: the safety of all on board is paramount.

Accommodation

State Rooms - VIP suites:

The Sea Breeze Suite is situated on the stern at the upper level of the boat and commands stunning views from the windows and patio style doors.  In addition there is a private sun deck extending the internal area to a total of some 50 square metres.

The Siam Suite is located at the bow of the boat and measures some 30 square metres internally.

Both state rooms come equipped with en-suite bathroom facilities and a stunning four poster bed.  There is a facility to provide double bunks for up to two extra people in the Siam Suite and two extra double beds in the Sea Breeze Suite.

Executive doubles suites:
Each of these four en-suite bedrooms is very spacious, bright and stylishly furnished, boasting a queen size double bed.  With internal space of some 20 square metres there is ample room for the additional bunks to sleep two extra people in each room. See photographs here.

Bathrooms
All bathrooms were designed to the highest western standards and finished to a luxurious - yet simplistic - style. They feature powerful hot and cold water showers, hot and cold water wash basins, WC, hairdryer and complimentary bathrobes.

Sundecks
With over 240 square metres of sundecks split over two levels there is ample space for everyone to enjoy The Siam Junk’s charisma and charm.  A rear dive platform extends from the bar area, making it popular with customers wishing to stay in the shade and watch the sun disappear below the horizon... A truly unforgettable experience.

Galley / Restaurant
The well equipped galley provides a fully functional restaurant kitchen capable of producing international cuisine.  Head Chef Rupert Single can conjure up gourmet western meals alongside traditional Thai cuisine to meet your requirements.

Whether you are on board purely to sample some of the exquisite fine dining in the evening or simply enjoying some of the freshly prepared dishes served for lunch on a day trip, you are guaranteed a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The Siam Junk will arrive in Koh Samui in April 2008. For rates & booking enquiries email us today.
